Curious about our magical Moonie? We got you angel.
Here is everything you need to know about the Full Moon & how to harness it's power to the fullest.
The moon shines once a month when the sun's fiery raise hits the surface of the moon, fully illuminating it. Our beautiful Moon *or Moonie as Nita calls her* has no light of her own, so when the Moon is shining at her brightest and fullest, here on Earth, we are receiving maximum light and vitality as the sun's rays bounce off of the lunar surface. While the energy of a full moon lasts for about three days before and after the Full Moon, our moonie is technically only full for a moment—when the sun and the moon are directly opposite each other in the sky. Magical isn't it?
How does our Moonie affect us?
Our bodies are made up of 60% water, so it is believed just as the moon affects our sea tides, it also affects the energy within us Humans. We have been living by the Lunar Cycles for centuries. In the eyes of history this goes back to ancient Egyptians, Chinese, Babylonians and Indians. Full Moons Rituals were apart of their culture as they worshiped the moon. There are studies that show that the full moon has affects on the growth and decline of plants, animals and human life. They would soak up the moonlight every full moon because of this.
In our modern world, connecting to these energies provides us a sense of grounding, connection and synergy with the Earth and the Cosmos.
How can we use the energy of a Full Moon?
Whilst the New Moon is a time to set intentions, the Full Moon is a time to release and let go as it symbolizes the closure of a chapter or the end of a cycle. When you plant magical seeds into the universe on a New Moon, there is a two week period where your seeds are being manifested, and when the Full Moon phase approaches, it's a spiritual and energetic pinnacle of whatever you started when the sun and the moon united at the New Moon.
What to do on a Full Moon?
  • Meditate

Meditating is a powerful practice in itself, but meditating on a Full Moon hits different. When you stop and connect with the luminous energy of the Full Moon, you sync and connect with her power. This gives you the ability to work hand in hand with her as you let go of negative beliefs and any residual energy within you that is no longer serving you.

  • Journal

Reflecting on the past few weeks and writing out your feelings, emotions and thoughts is also a powerful way to move energy within your vessel. Words are extremely powerful. Write down a list of everything you wish to let go of in your life and speak them into existence by reading your notes out loud.

Hosting a Moon Circle with friends or like-minded individuals is an awesome way to collectively raise the energy and connect with each other. Having people with you practicing release is also a powerful way to raise your vibration. Co-Owner Nita hosts Moon Circles and Spiritual Development Circles every month. Click here for details

The Full Moon provides us a safe space to release residule energy that no longer serves us, putting your crystal babies out under the Full Moon is an act of love to your crystal babies. They deserve release too, especially after they absorb so much of the negativity around you every day.

  • Take a Moon Bath

The full moon's light can rejuvenate our psyches. Connect with lunar energy by submerging yourself in water. Draw a healing bath around the time of the full moon, and gather your favorite salts, crystals, and candles. You can say your full moon intentions aloud while you're relaxing in the tub as you imagine the full moon restoring every cell of your body. Or, take a dip in a lake, ocean, or pool if you feel called to do so.
